Device and Test Engineer – On-site at CM | Shenzhen, China DustPhotonics develops cutting-edge Silicon Photonics technology, revolutionizing connectivity and communication in data centres. We are looking for a Test Engineer to be based in Shenzhen and work daily on-site at our Contract Manufacturer (CM). This is a production-focused, hands-on role at the factory, responsible for daily test execution, real-time troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to ensure stable, high-yield manufacturing. Work Location Shenzhen, China Full-time, on-site role – daily presence at the CM is required Training in Israel: 1 month at the beginning of employment Travel to Israel: once every quarter (about 1 trip every 3 months) Requirements 5+ years of experience as a Test Engineer / Device & Test Engineer / Lab Physicist Hands-on experience with electrical and/or optical measurements Strong manufacturing and data analysis capabilities (Statistics, DOE, JMP) Familiarity with Python, LabVIEW, or other programming languages Solid understanding of test methodologies and device physics fundamentals Experience in semiconductor assembly – advantage Experience in testing/characterization of photonics components – advantage Fluent English (written and spoken) – mandatory Strong ownership, hands-on mindset, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Responsibilities Be on-site daily at the CM factory and own product testing execution Manage test activities to meet yield, quality, and capacity targets Troubleshoot, debug, and investigate failures in test systems and processes Monitor production KPIs, detect deviations, and drive continuous improvement Lead introduction, installation, and qualification of new test solutions Serve as the primary technical interface between the CM and DustPhotonics R&D team Provide structured updates and technical reports
