We seek a highly skilled and motivated DevOps/Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. As a Security Engineer, you will ensure the security and integrity of our organisation and client systems and data. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security controls, identifying vulnerabilities, conducting risk assessments, and providing recommendations to enhance our overall security posture and that of our clients.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

We are looking for individuals who have the following:

  • Proven experience and willingness to learn new tools and processes as a Security Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of security principles, techniques, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with encryption methods and their application in modern tools and the AWS environment.
  • Proficiency in deploying and utilising tools such as DataDog, Wiz, DRATA, and Cloud Security tools (CWPP, CIEM, SIEM, and Vulnerability scanners) focusing on Cloud Security within the AWS ecosystem.
  • Understanding DevOps processes and how security integrates into the development and deployment lifecycle.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • CISSP, CASP, CCNA, or Security Certification preferred or in progress of completion.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $89,954.64 – $181,707.11 per year

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the DTO, you will join the Cybersecurity Team and will ensure the security and integrity of our organisation and client systems and data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Security Controls: Implement and maintain security controls to protect our information and network infrastructure. This includes deploying and utilising the following tools:
  • DataDog: Deploy and utilise DataDog for monitoring and analysing system performance and security metrics.
  • Wiz: Deploy and utilise Wiz for cloud security posture management, vulnerability assessment, and threat detection.
  • DRATA: Deploy and utilise DRATA for automating security and compliance processes.
  • Various Cloud Security Tools: Learn and utilise software related to CWPP (Cloud Workload Protection Platform), CIEM (Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management), SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), Vulnerability scanners, and CSPM (Cloud Security Posture Management) with a focus on Cloud Security.
  • Need to be familiar with the following to best serve our client base:
  • Security Infrastructure: Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware. Install software that monitors systems and networks for security breaches and intrusions. Monitor systems for irregular behaviour and set up preventive measures.
  • Information Security: Plan, develop, implement, and update the company’s security strategy. Educate and train staff on information system security best practices.
  • Encryption and AWS Environment: Possess familiarity with encryption techniques related to modern tools and the AWS environment. Apply encryption methods to secure sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • DevOps and Security: Understand the DevOps process and its relationship with security tasks. Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate security measures into the development and deployment lifecycle.
