DEVOPS/CLOUD ENGINEER - SENIOR:

On behalf of our Government Services client, Procom is searching for a DevOPS/Cloud Engineer - Senior for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

DEVOPS/CLOUD ENGINEER - SENIOR - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The project involves designing, building, and supporting cloud environments to create digital products. The role includes monitoring application performance in a cloud environment to ensure solutions are available and secure. Additionally, the role involves creating and implementing safeguards to maintain data integrity and protect against unauthorized access.

DEVOPS/CLOUD ENGINEER - SENIOR - MANDATORY SKILLS:

10+ years of experience in software development and delivery
5+ years of experience in AWS cloud using AWS Services and tools
Experience with AWS cloud-based production system management
Experience with Amazon Connect cloud-based contact center solutions
Knowledge of IVR and Workflow
Experience in scripting languages like Python, Bash, PHP, Java, JavaScript, Node
5+ years of experience with contact center solutions implementation

DEVOPS/CLOUD ENGINEER - SENIOR – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

Knowledge of Public Sector Enterprise Architecture artifacts
Experience with large complex IT projects
Proven technical leadership skills
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities

Design, build, and support cloud environments for digital products
Monitor and assess application performance in a cloud environment
Implement safeguards for data integrity and protection against unauthorized access
Maintain complex Linux cloud environments to support modern web technologies
Set up development environments using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Maven, and Jenkins
Script using languages such as Python, Bash, PHP, Java, JavaScript, Node, etc.
Use build tools like Git, Ansible, Chef, Puppet for continuous integration
Integrate and build using APIs and industry best practices
