DEVOPS/CLOUD ENGINEER - SENIOR:

On behalf of our public sector client, Procom is searching for a DevOps/Cloud Engineer - Senior for a 6-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

DEVOPS/CLOUD ENGINEER - SENIOR - JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role involves working on a critical project focused on system integration and automation. The project aims to enhance public service delivery through cutting-edge technologies and seamless system integration.

DEVOPS/CLOUD ENGINEER - SENIOR - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• 10+ years of experience in systems, data communications, and telecommunication technology
• Extensive experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux V7+, UNIX Solaris V10, and Mainframe IMS Connect
• Proficient in WebLogic V12, WebSphere V9, and Informatica V10
• Skilled in DevOps toolsets in Azure Cloud, including Docker, Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Azure DevOps Pipelines, OpenShift
• Experience with git, including branching and merging strategies
• Knowledge of J2EE, Java, and web technologies like Node.js, Azure Functions
• Experience with infrastructure as code and performance tuning

DEVOPS/CLOUD ENGINEER - SENIOR – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Experience with clustering Load Balancers and Firewall configuration in Azure
• Familiarity with ITIL standards for system monitoring and performance
• Experience in resource usage tracking and emergency problem resolution
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Public sector experience

• Develop and review technical designs
• Create and implement automation scripts
• Promote solutions to user test and production environments
• Document processes for knowledge transfer
• Support integration and data migration requirements
• Assist during the Q&A phase and provide post-go-live stabilization support
