JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a DevOps Cloud Engineer with extensive cloud experience to maintain, execute, and deploy external cloud environments for customers and engineering divisions. This position involves supporting EDA cloud initiatives and becoming part of a cloud enablement team focused on managed services and customer environments.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• 5+ years of experience designing, executing, and supporting a variety of IT cloud solutions.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Terraform, and experience with Packer and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Linux administration.
• Strong programming experience with Python or Golang.
• Familiarity with one of the major observability platforms, with a fundamental understanding of logs, metrics, and traceability.
• Knowledge of data security, data isolation, firewalls, and best practices in multi-tenant environments.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with SRE concepts like scalability, availability, maintainability, and portability.
• Cloud architecture and operations certifications for AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Strong understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies, such as waterfall to agile, SAFe, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with virtualization and container platforms like Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Knowledge of Windows and scripting languages such as Shell scripts and PowerShell.

• Develop Managed Cloud Services using cloud architecture knowledge.
• Ensure high availability of secure environments in external cloud spaces.
• Troubleshoot complex problems and implement solutions across private, public, and hybrid cloud models.
• Configure hosts in secure environments using industry best practices.
• Deploy highly secure environments and drive projects to completion.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to meet security requirements.
