Devops Engineer

One of our clients is looking for entry level DevOps/Platform Engineers who are ready to take the next step of their career and work within the media and broadcasting domain.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Between 2 and 4 years of IT administration and/or operations experience in enterprise environments
• Hands on experience with deploying and maintaining virtual infrastructure (e.g. VMWare) and applications
• Knowledge and experience with Linux OS and services
• Experience with platforms and applications integration
• Experience with DevOps methodologies and automation tools (CI/CD pipelines, SCM, Git, etc)
• Sound scripting experience (Bash/shell or Python)
• Familiarity with open-source projects (e.g. Apache Foundation projects)
• Analytic mind with troubleshooting and problem-solving technical issues, identify root cause and develop effective solutions
• Ability to drive outcomes and extract information from project teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both unsupervised/independently and as part of a team

HIGHLY DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

• Familiarity with Infrastructure and Config as Code (IaC/CaC) using Ansible or equivalent
• Experience with data and monitoring tools such as Splunk, ELK or Prometheus
• Conceptual knowledge of data analytics and data platforms
• Familiarity with public cloud services (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Knowledge of interacting and integrating with REST APIs
• Experience with working in large and complex environments
• Agile delivery and teamwork experience
• A sound working knowledge of hardware platforms including DELL, HP or equivalent vendors
