We develop and manage Apple’s global real estate portfolio, lead all related capital construction projects, provide outstanding facilities and site services, develop and lead sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of all Apple facilities, including commute and renewable energy programs, and do everything we can to ensure the health and safety of all Apple personnel, facilities, and customers in our facilities around the world. DESCRIPTION As a DevOps Engineer in Places Technology Services, you will provide your technical expertise through hands-on development to ensure that the applications we build are set up for long-term success. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 5-7 years of experience in a DevOps or related role. Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices. Proficiency with a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.). Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes). Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.). Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.). Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.) Understanding of networking and security best practices. Experience with Linux systems administration. Experience with relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, RHCSA). Experience with Pulumi, Tekton, OpenTelemetry. Understanding of SDLC and Git branching strategies. Experience deploying applications built with Python, Node.js, PHP, Go, Vite, Vue.js. Experience implementing API authentication (OIDC, HMAC). Understanding of distributed systems, queues, microservice architecture, and common disaster recovery patterns (Active-Active, Active-Standby).
