We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with a strong background in bare metal infrastructure and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) to join our team. This role focuses on using Ansible to automate system upgrades, deployments, and maintenance, while also performing traditional system administration tasks. You will work closely with our infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure our bare metal environment remains secure, up-to-date, and highly available.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer , Systems Administrator , or similar role in a Linux/RHEL environment.
• Proficiency in Ansible for automation, configuration management, and orchestration.
• Strong understanding of bare metal server provisioning, installation, and maintenance.
• Experience with RHEL system administration , including patching, package management, and service configuration.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins and GitLab for CI/CD automation.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Familiarity with security hardening practices for Linux systems.
• Understanding of infrastructure documentation best practices.
• Experience with other automation tools (Terraform, Puppet, etc.) is a plus.

• Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks and automation workflows to streamline provisioning, patching, and configuration management for bare metal systems.
• Perform system administration on RHEL-based servers, including troubleshooting, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Manage lifecycle operations for physical servers: firmware updates, OS upgrades, and hardware maintenance coordination.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate and support Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation and deployment processes.
• Maintain documentation for operational procedures, automation workflows, and system configurations.
• Support incident response and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues.
