Company OverviewBLACKROC is partnering with a leading Federal Government agency to recruit a DevOps Engineer.

Role PurposeYou'll join a Data Science Hub building generative AI, RAG, machine learning and analytics products used across the agency. You'll design, automate and support the AWS platforms these products run on, helping move solutions from proof of concept to secure, production-ready services.

• Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build and maintain AWS infrastructure for AI, ML, data science and software workloads.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK or CloudFormation.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines covering build, test, security scanning and deployment.
• Deploy and support containerised applications on Docker, Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.
• Develop monitoring, logging, alerting and observability capabilities, and lead root cause analysis.
• Implement security controls, IAM, secrets management and platform hardening.
• Support MLOps and LLMOps, including deployment of RAG and generative AI solutions.
• Write runbooks, technical documentation and engineering standards.

• Required Skills & ExperienceProven experience designing, deploying and supporting solutions on AWS.
• Hands-on CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation or equivalent).
• Docker and Kubernetes experience, ideally Amazon EKS.
• Monitoring, logging and observability for cloud platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting across infrastructure, deployment and operations.

• Preferred Skills & QualificationsExperience supporting ML, AI or data science platforms.
• MLOps, LLMOps or AI model deployment and monitoring.
• Familiarity with Amazon Bedrock and generative AI / RAG deployment.
• Cloud security, IAM, secrets management and compliance automation.
