What are we looking for? We are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join the Checkmarx Engineering group. In this role, you will take part in maintaining and optimizing our large-scale cloud-based SaaS platform, ensuring stability, reliability, and operational excellence. You will work closely with multiple engineering teams to maintain platform health, investigate system behavior, and improve resilience across our cloud infrastructure. The role involves hands-on interaction with modern cloud-native technologies and production-grade systems. You will gain practical experience with technologies such as Kubernetes (K8s), cloud infrastructure platforms, and advanced observability tools. This position offers strong exposure to real-world distributed systems and provides opportunities to deepen your automation and scripting skills. Requirements 3+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or similar hands-on technical roles (including relevant internships) Availability to work in a rotational shift schedule, including night shifts (12 AM–8 AM IST), and weekend rotations as part of a global platform support model Basic hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and containerized workloads (deployment, logs, troubleshooting fundamentals) Familiarity with at least one cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and core infrastructure concepts (compute, networking, storage) Exposure to observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, or similar platforms Understanding of cloud production systems and eagerness to grow within reliability and incident management practices Basic troubleshooting capabilities and curiosity about distributed systems architecture Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., Bash, Python, or similar) Solid Linux fundamentals (processes, logs, networking basics) Fluent English and strong teamwork skills BSc in Computer Science or equivalent – Must What we have to offer Checkmarx offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, competitive compensation, great work-life balance, as well as great benefits and perks throughout the year.
