TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Overall 6+ years of IT experience and 5+ years of experience in GCP/Azure cloud environments. (Mandatory)
  • 5+ years of relevant experience working as a systems automation engineer. (Mandatory)
  • Experience working with Azure/GCP Kubernetes Services. (Mandatory)
  • Experience utilizing automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience with management/supporting deployment such as external dns, cert manager, cloudability, splunk, crowdstrike, OPA/Anthos Config etc.
  • Experience with CI/CD tool AZDO or similar.
  • Strong understanding of Security, Monitoring and Performance aspects of cloud-native platform and application architectures.
  • Proven track record delivering high quality and consistent systems and environments for development team.
  • Experience in dealing with management of product/app owners.

Responsibilities

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain the system and its services, automating the deployment process, ensuring system scaling, investigating and resolving outdates, identifying and implementing preventive measures proactively, collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Analyze chronic and major issues, evaluate products and their services, make recommendations to improve service outcomes, design solutions in partnership with product, engineering, and architecture teams, build, test, operationalize tools and applications.
  • Playing the role of K8 advocate and advise app owners/architects during the app onboarding process as needed.
  • Responsible for the reliability, availability, and performance of Kubernetes clusters.
  • Ensure smooth operations, monitor performance metrics, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices for efficient resource utilization and scaling.
  • Mentoring team members and ability to collaborate with on-shore and off-shore operation engineers.
  • Able to see gaps and areas of improvement in process as well as technologies, providing recommendations and taking the initiative to fix issues are qualities we love to see in our teams.
  • Focus on proactive measures such as capacity planning, performance tuning and implementing infrastructure as code.
