DevOps Engineer (AWS & Cloud Security)

£65,000 - £70,000 + Progression + Company Benefits + Remote

Fully Remote + Monthly Guildford Visit

Are you a DevOps Engineer with strong AWS experience looking to work on complex cloud infrastructure projects within the cyber security industry?

Do you want to join an industry-leading business with a highly skilled technical team, working on challenging infrastructure projects for major blue-chip companies including BT, Zoom and Microsoft?

Established in 1980's, this leading technology business is a specialist systems integrator working across business communications, networking, cloud, AI, automation and cyber security. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to take ownership of their infrastructure and automation across AWS and private cloud environments.

In this role, you'll design and maintain hybrid cloud infrastructure, automate deployments using Terraform and Ansible, and build CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. You'll also work across cloud security, networking and observability, while having the opportunity to develop your technical expertise through training and professional certifications.

This role would suit an experienced DevOps Engineer looking to work fully remotely, develop their expertise within cyber security and DevSecOps, and take ownership of complex infrastructure projects.

The Role:

• Design, deploy and support infrastructure across AWS and private cloud environments
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Implement monitoring and observability using Grafana, Prometheus and CloudWatch
• Manage hybrid networking, IAM, firewalls and VPNs
• Improve infrastructure security, reliability and performance
• Support Kubernetes environments, including AWS EKS
• Join the on-call rota and respond to infrastructure incidents
• Monthly commute to Guildford

The Person:

• DevOps Engineer
• Strong hands-on AWS experience
• Strong Linux and networking skills
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible and Kubernetes
• Experience with Bash, Python or Go
• AWS certification desirable

·        Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation

·        Databases: PostgreSQL, Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Amazon ElastiCache (Redis)

·        Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Dynatrace, CloudWatch

·        Security & Code Quality: SonarQube, Veracode, Wiz

·        Artefact Management: JFrog Artifactory, Amazon ECR
