Our diverse, vibrant, and welcoming community is essential in driving our success. Why Join Us? To shape the future of travel, people must come first. Guided by our Values and Leadership Agreements, we foster an open culture where everyone belongs, differences are celebrated and know that when one of us wins, we all win. We provide a full benefits package, including exciting travel perks, generous time-off, parental leave, a flexible work model (with some pretty cool offices), and career development resources, all to fuel our employees' passion for travel and ensure a rewarding career journey. We’re building a more open world. Join us. About the team: We build and operate Expedia Group's core CI infrastructure that powers engineering teams across multiple domains. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable, and scalable build systems—spanning native, backend, platform, and service teams—enabling developers to ship high‑quality software with confidence. A high performing and influential individual contributor who leads by example while continuing to mentor junior engineers, interfaces consistently with tech leadership in the local organization, leads complex and vaguely defined projects, and stretches into team leadership skills based on current projects. In this role, you will: Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to reliably build, test, and deploy applications and services across multiple environments. Develop and maintain scalable infrastructure-as-code solutions to provision, configure, and manage cloud resources with repeatability and security. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production systems, improving reliability, availability, performance, and cost efficiency using observability tools and data-driven insights. Collaborate with engineering teams to design and refine service-level build, deployment, and runtime patterns, including system design (LLD), API integration patterns, and data modeling for operational telemetry. Implement and enhance security, compliance, backup, and disaster recovery practices within the DevOps toolchain and runtime environments. Safely integrate and operate AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve outcomes, including familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in DevOps or site reliability engineering. 4–8 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, build and release engineering, or site reliability engineering, owning services or multi-service environments in production. Proven experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for cloud-hosted applications or services, including core system design (LLD), API integration, and data modeling for logs/metrics. Strong proficiency with at least one major cloud platform, containerization and orchestration technologies, and monitoring/alerting tools to operate services at scale. Preferred Qualifications: Good to have: Hands-on experience with AWS, GitHub suite(GH Actions, Action runners, GH Workflows), Terraform(IaC) Experience designing and evolving end-to-end deployment architectures for complex, multi-service systems, including standardized API deployment patterns and operational data models. Demonstrated ownership of highly available, large-scale production systems, including capacity planning, performance tuning, incident response, and post-incident improvement. Track record of driving operational excellence and reliability through automation, standardized tooling, and data-driven decisions using observability and operational metrics. Experience integrating and operating AI/ML‑enabled capabilities in DevOps workflows (for example, intelligent alerting, automated remediation, or predictive scaling) and safely managing their lifecycle in production. Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products, with the ability to evaluate and adopt new AI-based platform or tooling enhancements relevant to DevOps.
