Your tasks

• Together with the team, you will design a modern, cloud-based development environment and gradually develop it into a standardized service.
• You automate the provisioning and configuration of development workstations, thereby creating reproducible, scalable environments for software development teams.
• You work with cloud, container and infrastructure-as-code technologies and continuously develop existing automation processes.
• Together with the team, you are responsible for key tools and components that developers need for their daily work.
• You will be involved in integrating modern AI functions into the development environment and evaluating new technical possibilities with regard to their practical benefits.
• You translate requirements from governance, information security, and regulatory bodies into technically feasible solutions.
• You form an important interface between software development and governance, ensuring that developer productivity and regulatory requirements are meaningfully combined.
• You support internal development teams with technical questions and develop standards and best practices for using the provided environments.
• During the setup phase, you will play a particularly important role in shaping the target vision, concept, and framework. Subsequently, you will increasingly shift your focus to technical development, automation, and stable operation.

Your profile

• You bring practical experience from DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering or a comparable technical environment.
• Linux-based systems as well as container and Kubernetes environments are part of your technical understanding.
• You have experience with public cloud technologies and ideally have already worked with cloud-based development environments or comparable platform concepts.
• Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment are central components of modern IT for you. Experience with technologies like Terraform or Ansible is therefore advantageous.
• A background in software development is helpful, especially if it allows you to understand the requirements and working methods of developers.
• You don't need to be a proven specialist in developer workplaces. What's crucial is that you bring DevOps and cloud know-how and are interested in delving deeply into this field.
• You can reconcile technical requirements with governance and compliance guidelines and are interested in designing solutions within defined frameworks.
• Experience in a regulated business environment is a plus, but not a requirement.
• You communicate confidently with diverse technical and professional stakeholders and can explain complex concepts in an understandable way.
• You work in a structured and independent manner and do not want to exclusively administer existing systems, but also help build new standards and solutions.
• Excellent German skills and good English skills enable you to work safely in a technical and organizational environment.
