DEVOPS ENGINEER – 100% REMOTE (TEXAS RESIDENTS ONLY)

Location: Remote – Must reside in Texas
Pay: $60/hr W2
Employment Type: Contract

In this fully remote role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient DevOps practices that directly impact critical statewide systems.
This is more than a DevOps role — you’ll be the bridge between IT operations, development, and testing, ensuring seamless integration, faster deployments, and improved collaboration. You’ll be working in a dynamic environment where automation, innovation, and reliability are top priorities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) background check upon hire.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and toolchains.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proficiency in IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with ITIL or Agile methodologies.
