Why you will love this opportunity as a DevOps Engineer at Civica You’ll be a key contributor in enhancing and supporting the delivery of our cloud‑based products that are used by public sector organisations across Australia. In this role, you’ll design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable secure, reliable, and scalable deployments. You will work closely with engineers across the business, shaping technical discussions, influencing engineering standards, and helping uplift DevOps capability within the team. What you will need to be successful in this role Strong hands‑on experience with modern DevOps practices. Proven ability to design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps. Experience deploying applications into cloud environments (ideally Azure). Solid understanding of cloud deployment architectures and associated tooling. Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across environments. Experience contributing to technical design discussions and solution shaping. Ability to mentor engineers in troubleshooting, deployment, and best practice. Strong communicator who can translate technical concepts clearly and confidently. Proactive learner who stays up to date with emerging technologies and DevOps approaches. Strong problem‑solving skills with a structured, analytical mindset. Ability to work comfortably at both detailed and conceptual levels. Experience working on modernising legacy applications (highly regarded). Experience delivering products or solutions for public sector clients (advantageous). Experience in a senior engineering or DevOps‑focused role. Demonstrated track record of delivering high‑quality, secure, and performant solutions. Why you'll love working with us.
