For the area of ​​"Compute / Storage / Backup /Data Base Management" we are looking for a "DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)" at the earliest possible date at the location Ulm, Oberkochen or Taufkirchen. 

The "Infrastructure and Cloud Services" department is responsible for the design, provision, and operation of the server and network infrastructure, as well as for company-wide communication across various locations and in the cloud. For specific projects, some of which are classified as confidential, the Infrastructure department also designs and operates independent IT environments within the HENSOLDT Group.

HENSOLDT IM (Information Management) forms the global IT infrastructure of the HENSOLDT Group. Through scalable and flexible architectures and business-oriented IT solutions, we enable the HENSOLDT Group to achieve its growth objectives. We provide innovative digital solutions for HENSOLDT's product portfolio and processes.

Your tasks

• Infrastructure as Code: Responsibility for state-of-the-art CI/CD pipelines and the automation of complex infrastructures (e.g., via Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
• Cloud Native Operations: Design and operation of highly available Kubernetes environments within a scalable enterprise cloud infrastructure
• Solution Design: Conception of future-proof, high-performance architectures with strict consideration of security best practices.
• End-to-End Ownership: Establishing the "You build it, you run it" approach – from initialization and deployment to incident management.
• Proactive Reliability: Continuous optimization of monitoring and observability stacks to ensure maximum system stability
• Collaboration & Coaching: Close collaboration with development teams to establish efficient deployment workflows.
• Tech Leadership: Active participation in shaping the IT strategy and defining new technology standards within the company

Your profile

• Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification with a solid IT background
• Several years of professional experience in the DevOps environment as well as in the implementation of modern CI/CD and cloud architectures.
• Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible or similar technologies)
• Solid understanding of modern software delivery and deployment processes in agile development environments
• Extensive experience in the automation of infrastructure, deployment, and operational processes.
• Structured, analytical and independent work style combined with strong teamwork and communication skills
• Very good German and good English skills, both spoken and written.
• High quality orientation, technical understanding and a professional approach to complex IT system landscapes
