Summary
We are looking for a “DevOps Engineer in the area of CI / CD and Linux support (f/m/d)” for the “Ground & Naval Software” division at the Oberkochen / Aalen location as soon as possible.
The “Ground & Naval Software” department develops software and systems for observation and surveillance. For this purpose, camera systems and other sensors, such as radars, are intelligently connected and their data processed for the user. The designed, distributed software architectures support low-end hardware as well as high-availability, high-end server systems and cover requirements ranging from real-time, redundancy and automation to intuitive operation and visualization.

Your Tasks

  • Development, maintenance, servicing and optimization of automated build servers and CI / CD pipelines
  • Administration, configuration and support of Linux systems
  • Administration and maintenance of container technologies (e.g. Docker, Podman)
  • Administration and setup of project networks
  • Collaboration with developers to optimize build and deployment processes
  • Securing and hardening Linux servers according to best practices
  • Use of modern software technologies and tools (git, Atlassian, CMake, C++17 / 20, MQTT …)
  • Collaboration in a young, motivated and open-minded development team

Your Profile

  • Experience with CI / CD systems (e.g. Bamboo, Jenkins)
  • Sound knowledge of Linux administration, preferably Arch Linux or derivative distributions
  • In-depth knowledge of CMake, scripting languages such as Bash, Python for automation
  • Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Podman)
  • Good understanding of network concepts, security and system hardening
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools is an advantage
  • Independent, structured way of working and ability to work in a team
  • Team player with strong social skills and enthusiasm
  • Analytical thinking and willingness to take personal responsibility
  • Very good knowledge of English and German
