Qualified candidates will bring a strong knowledge of supervised image classification and open-source technologies to help us address our customer’s needs. * Located in Barra da Tijuca, Brazil * Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., (occasional extended hours to support deployments or maintain service continuity) * Full-Time position  The Company Katalyst Data Management (KDM) is the global leader in hosted subsurface data management solutions for the oil and gas industry. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Own the platform, elevate the velocity. The DevOps Engineer is at the center of designing and running our next‑gen hybrid infrastructure, orchestrating application and service migrations to Kubernetes across AWS EKS and on‑prem environments—driving performance, security, and resilience. Partnering closely with Cloud, Infrastructure, and Software Engineering teams, you’ll architect and automate deployments end‑to‑end, lead initiatives that expand our container orchestration, modernize CI/CD pipelines, and standardize provisioning with infrastructure‑as‑code. Key Responsibilities: * Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters across AWS EKS and on-premises environments. * Lead migration efforts from AWS ECS to EKS and on-prem Kubernetes platforms. * Develop and maintain Terraform modules for infrastructure provisioning and configuration. * Implement, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI. * Apply security best practices for containerized applications and Kubernetes cluster configurations. * Collaborate with development teams to define standardized application deployment workflows. * Monitor system performance and reliability, troubleshoot, and resolve complex infrastructure issues. * Contribute to the creation of operational documentation and automate routine tasks to minimize manual intervention. Knowledge & Skills Required: * Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and full cluster lifecycle management. * Proficiency in Terraform for implementing Infrastructure as Code. * Strong background in CI/CD pipeline design and Git-based workflows. * Deep understanding of Docker and containerized application architectures. * Solid grasp of networking fundamentals, including DNS, routing, load balancing, ingress. * Familiarity with observability tools and stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Open Telemetry. * Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems and deployment environments effectively. * English – Intermediate level – capacity to keep oral conversation with native speakers. Required Education and Experience: 1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2. 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar role. 3. Proven expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters on a scale, both in cloud and on-premises environments. 4. Hands-on experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform. Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:  This is a full-time position.  As a full-time position, the DevOps Engineer is eligible to participate in benefits coverage offered to Katalyst employees based on geographical location. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional extended hours to support deployments or maintain service continuity Hybrid work model – three remote days and two on-site days per week. Travel:  Minimal travel may be required for on-premises infrastructure support, implementation, or occasional team collaboration. If participation in an offsite meeting is requested, all related travel expenses will be covered or reimbursed, in accordance with the company’s policies and local regulations.
