Job Details:
The Software or electrical engineer with fluent German language skills with the work focuses on embedded technologies and hardware related tasks for our development referring the Check-in-/Be-out system will work in the mobile team in Hamburg, Germany.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

Essential:

• Bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering, computer science or relation field or equivalent professional experience or combination of both

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

Essential:

• Current knowledge of programming language in the field of embedded development: C, C++, Rust, Python, Java or JavaScript/NodeJS
• Linux, preferable Yocto
• Experience of real-time operating systems.
• Experience in electrically assembly of components
• Ability to help with measurements of electrical or other quantities
• At least basic knowledge of Java/JEE and/or other Java technologies
• Experience with UML for design and specification of software components
• Fluent German language skills

Desirable:

• Experienced in writing specifications for suppliers and vendors of hardware components
• Experience with Terraform and Jenkins
• Ability to organized or write reports, manuals, installation guides
• Test-driven development
• Scrum or Kanban experience
• GIT and SVN knowhow
• Good English language skills

Personal Qualities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels in at least German & English
• Diligent, with attention to detail. Able to problem solve and find effective and timely resolutions.
• Ability to work as part of a team towards individual and shared goals.

• Aware of software development best practice and able to apply standards and procedures effectively.

• Provide technical assistance to other engineering functions within Cubic e.g. other developers and system test
• Report to team leader on performance against timescales, specifications and quality requirements. Identify any deviations from the plan and carry out corrective actions.
