Description

What will you do as a Mid-level DevOps Engineer?

Hours: 24 / 32 / 40

Location: Utrecht or Eindhoven

Experience level: Mid-level / Senior

As a Mid-level DevOps Engineer at Capgemini Engineering, you will work on building, extending, and improving DevOps solutions. You will focus on setting up, optimizing, and automating CI/CD pipelines, working within existing DevOps architectures.

You support development teams by translating technical requirements into stable, scalable, and repeatable DevOps solutions. In close collaboration with developers and IT, you contribute directly to smooth and reliable software delivery.

Your daily activities:

  • Setting up, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Building and further expanding DevOps solutions within existing technical frameworks.
  • Automating infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code, for example with Ansible.
  • Identifying repetitive tasks and converting them into smart automation.
  • Aligning DevOps solutions with developers and IT regarding functional and operational requirements.

Your profile

  • At least 4 years of experience in a DevOps or software development environment.
  • Experience with CI/CD orchestrators such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions, including managing complete pipelines.
  • Practical programming skills (preferably Python) to develop maintainable automation code — not just scripts.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible or similar).
  • The willingness to use modern technologies, such as AI, as soon as they are relevant to your solution.
  • Knowledge of containers (Docker or Podman) is a plus.
  • Understanding of software engineering principles and good communication skills.
  • Proactive attitude and the drive to continuously improve.

These criteria provide an indication of the profile we are looking for. If you do not meet all the criteria but believe this is the right position for you, we cordially invite you to apply or contact us anyway.

What do we offer you?

  • A gross salary in the range of €3,500 and €5,500, excluding 8% holiday allowance and excluding a mobility allowance of €800 per month (based on a 40-hour contract).
  • Pension scheme to which Capgemini contributes a large part.
  • 26 vacation days with the option to purchase additional days.
  • Bike lease plan and discount at various fitness clubs.
  • Access to career development programs, certifications, and digital learning platforms, including special learning tracks focused on AI.
  • Inclusive work environment; Capgemini is recognized as one of the most ethical companies worldwide.
