QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of DevOps or CloudOps engineering experience
  • Experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure, and private cloud environments
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and methodologies (CI/CD, IaC)
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and more)
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, and more)
  • Experience with administration and support of both physical and virtual: Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu), Windows Server (Microsoft SQL Server), web servers, and web applications
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Proactive work approach with ability to take ownership
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Willingness to work maintenance shifts over weekends and evenings for maintenance and patch upgrades on occasion
  • Proven delivery experience in a vibrant, dynamic startup environment

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • This position works in an office and machine shop atmosphere.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a full-time, DevOps Engineer with 3+ years of cloud and DevOps engineering experience to join our engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between development and operations leveraging your expertise in cloud technologies and DevOps principles to design, build, deploy, and manage our client’s cloud infrastructure and applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management
  • Provision and manage cloud resources (VMs, storage, databases) on a chosen cloud platform (AWS, Azure, and private infrastructure)
  • Implement Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) principles to automate infrastructure provisioning andconfiguration
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost effectiveness
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery of cloud deployments
  • DevOps Automation
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery of applications
  • Automate infrastructure and application deployment processes using tools such as Jenkins, ansible, or Chef
  • Configure and manage version control systems (Git)
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to identify and troubleshoot issues proactively
  • Collaboration and Security
  • Work closely with developers, operations teams, and security specialists to ensure seamless deployments and a secure cloud environment
  • Implement security best practices in all aspects of cloud infrastructure and application development
  • Stay up to date on the latest cloud technologies and DevOps trends
