Opportunity Snapshot SS&C Bluedoor is experiencing an exciting transformation period, undergoing a modernisation of its technology and preparing for migration across to their AU Private Cloud. As the part of this journey, opportunity arises for a Lead DevOps Engineer. As a member of the DevOps team. This role carries the responsibility for supporting and building cloud platforms as well as CI/CD Pipelines. Key Responsibilities: Mentor and guide team members to maintain the existing CI/CD pipeline (Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, Git, PowerShell) Assess and build new monitoring capability across on-premises & cloud hosted environments Design and implement new automation solutions using existing DevOps tools Manage the design and implementation of new pipelines Write Terraform code, Powershell, and Unix scripting. Ability to work with Grafana, Splunk, Site 24x7, Github actions Implementation of testing and automation tools Work with containerisation technologies (e.g. Kubernetes) Validation of software code prior to implementation Managing project delivery items through to completion by supporting the DevOps Manager/Lead Work on establishing KPIs and measurement of customer experience. Provide 2nd level support for DevOps Activities. Education and Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 5+ years’ experience working in a DevOps role Solid understanding of DevOps practices and methods Working knowledge of SDLC principles and methodologies Previous Software Engineer &/or IT Operations role’s with significant scripting/coding experience Understanding of hosting production environments on AWS Advanced knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery build pipelines Experience working with microservices, and infrastructure as code Understand Database Technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server. Background with AWS Security Solutions such as WAFs and firewalls. Understand core networking principles and AWS tech on networking such as transit gateways. Understand of the Windows Server Operating System (group policies, active directory, etc.) Personal Attributes: Passion for automating manual processes Keen to continuously improve & innovate Ability to manage high pressure scenarios.
