What are you going to do?

As a DevOps Engineer, you are responsible for the infrastructure on which the Blinqx Verzekering & Hypotheek platform runs: our existing environments in AWS and Azure, and the new Kubernetes cluster that you set up yourself at a European hosting partner. You lead the process of simplifying this landscape so that it becomes clearer and more manageable for the entire team. You work closely with a small infrastructure/platform team and with the software engineers who build on these environments daily. You translate their requirements into an infrastructure that is stable, secure, and easy to maintain, and you ensure that everything you build is well-documented and transferable.

Working with AI within DevOps

Within Blinqx, AI plays an increasingly important role in how we build and manage. As a DevOps Engineer, you use AI to write and review infrastructure code, analyze monitoring data, and outline migration steps. For us, AI is not a hype, but a tool to arrive at a reliable solution faster. You always critically evaluate that output; AI does not replace your insight, it strengthens it.

Your responsibilities

• You manage and develop our cloud environments in AWS and Azure.
• You are setting up a new Kubernetes cluster with a European hosting partner.
• You investigate new hosting and cloud options, tailored to customers and compliance.
• You consolidate our hosting clusters into one clear landscape.
• You containerize applications and manage workloads in Kubernetes.
• You build infrastructure-as-code with Terraform
• You set up monitoring and logging with Grafana and Prometheus.
• You ensure security, backups, and disaster recovery.
• You work with software engineers on CI/CD and deployments.
• You contribute to thinking about architectural choices and the technical roadmap.
