REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • 2+ years’ hands-on experience in DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering
  • Must have experience with Scripting language such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, or equivalent
  • Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, CodePipeline, Lambda, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS)
  • Proficiency with Docker and Linux servers
  • Experience with Git version control and Bitbucket workflows
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and automation tools
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar
  • Understanding of build, deployment & CI/CD tools (CloudFormation and/or Terraform preferred)

HIGHLY DESIRABLE (BUT NOT REQUIRED) SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • Experience with HIPAA-compliant environments
  • Familiarity with Java Spring Boot, MySQL, and Postman for backend integration testing
  • Experience with Apache JMeter for load testing
  • Knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools

Responsibilities

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

We are helping to build out and our client’s DevOps capabilities to support rapid innovation, rock-solid stability, and AI-powered healthcare delivery. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for managing and enhancing the CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, system reliability, and security of cloud-based platforms. This role will work closely with developers, QA, and operations to streamline deployments, monitor system performance, and implement infrastructure-as-code solutions in our AWS environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and Bitbucket
  • Manage containerized applications using Docker and monitor and troubleshoot EC2 Linux instances running Apache Tomcat and Nginx.
  • Maintain and enhance staging and production environments hosted on AWS.
  • Set up and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., CloudFormation or Terraform).
  • Document DevOps processes and configurations in addition to supporting logging, alerting, and performance monitoring (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Elasticsearch) and implementing and maintaining automated backup and recovery systems.
  • Manage and guide the configuration and deployment utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) processes to enable auto provisioning on development teams while profiling and troubleshooting existing solutions and integrations.
  • Deploy and maintain services around platforms and design and develop CI/CD pipelines and deployments for web app architecture while owning, developing and supporting core platforms and applications.
  • Collaborate with Scrum Master, business and technical analysts, developers, QA, and other IT team members to understand business/technical requirements that drive the analysis and design.
