Description:

Vetted Security Solutions LLC. is looking for an experienced Systems Administrator with a strong background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, and Systems Engineering. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of operating large-scale distributed systems in cloud environments, particularly within the manufacturing and law enforcement support sectors. This position requires a strong working knowledge of Microsoft ASP.net, C# and python applications. The ideal candidate is not only technically skilled but also understands the sensitive nature and urgency of law enforcement tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • DevOps & Configuration Management:
  • Continue the development of proprietary SaaS RMM solutions utilizing configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.
  • Experience in using cloud services (AWS), infrastructure as code (Terraform), and CI/CD tools (Spinnaker and Jenkins).
  • Linux Systems Administration:
  • Service and support Linux-based systems with a thorough understanding of Linux internals.
  • Deploy and maintain applications built using Microsoft ASP, .NET, Python, etc.
  • Systems Maintenance & Optimization:
  • Troubleshoot IoT meshed networks, cellular routers, modems, IP cameras, and solar power systems.
  • Monitor operational efficiency of large-scale distributed systems in cloud environments.
  • Networking & Security:

o Write and maintain compliance documents.
o Work closely with the IT Team to ensure CIA principles are applied to network protocols and components, including TCP/IP stack, switches, routers, and load balancers.

o Apply security protocols based on company policy, process, and procedure, especially for law enforcement data and tools.

  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

o Implement monitoring solutions like Nagios, Grafana, Zabbix.
o Employ excellent troubleshooting skills to quickly resolve issues in complex systems.
o Maintain current system config files and documentation, including training team members on proper installation/update.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 3+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Systems Engineering roles.
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems in cloud environments.
  • Strong Linux Systems Administration skills and scripting knowledge (Python, GoLang).
  • Proficient in networking protocols and components.
  • Experience with configuration management tools and DevOps methodologies.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and AWS cloud services.
  • Continuous learner and critical thinker with excellent communication skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a comprehensive security and background check.
  • Capable of self-managing workloads and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
