This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 500000 - Rs 2500000 (ie INR 5-25 LPA) Min Experience: 2 years Location: Bengaluru, Mumbai JobType: full-time We are looking for a driven and technically strong DevOps / Infrastructure Automation Engineer to design, automate, and manage production-grade infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and highly available systems that support complex, multi-tier applications. You will work closely with development teams to streamline delivery processes, enhance system reliability, and reduce operational overhead through automation and modern DevOps practices. Key Responsibilities Design and build self-service tools and automation frameworks to deploy and maintain complex applications efficiently. Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and repeatable software releases. Contribute to development pipelines through scripting, automation, and test integration. Implement containerized deployment strategies using modern orchestration platforms. Automate operational tasks by developing scripts, daemons, and APIs that minimize manual intervention. Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure environments, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency. Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting systems across infrastructure, applications, and containers. Administer and maintain Linux-based servers, ensuring uptime, security, and performance optimization. Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to improve infrastructure efficiency and reliability. Provide support to internal and external stakeholders, including participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation. What Makes You a Great Fit 3–5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and automating production infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Strong expertise in infrastructure automation using Ansible and Terraform. Experience working with container orchestration platforms such as Docker Swarm and/or Kubernetes. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tooling. Solid understanding of monitoring tools such as Nagios and Prometheus for infrastructure and container observability. Experience managing cloud platforms such as AWS or DigitalOcean, with a focus on SysOps or DevOps engineering. Strong knowledge of multi-tier application architectures, particularly Java-based stacks using Apache, Tomcat, and JBoss. Familiarity with development and CI tools such as Git, Maven, Bitbucket, GitLab, Jenkins, Hudson, or Bamboo. Experience administering Linux environments, including CentOS servers. A problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues. Strong collaboration and communication skills, enabling effective coordination with development and operations teams.
