This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 300000 - Rs 700000 (ie INR 3 - 7 LPA) Min Experience: 3 years Location: Bangalore JobType: full-time We are seeking a proficient DevOps Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to assist in the design, automation, deployment, and management of both infrastructure and application environments. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with development, QA, support, and operations teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and maintain reliable, scalable production environments. This position requires overseeing cloud infrastructure, containerized environments, and CI/CD pipelines while ensuring system performance, availability, and security. The ideal candidate will possess practical experience with Jenkins, Terraform, cloud platforms, scripting, and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Responsibilities also include supporting production environments, diagnosing infrastructure issues, and continuously enhancing deployment processes through automation and monitoring. Responsibilities: Participate in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins. Deploy applications across various environments, ensuring smooth integration with customer infrastructure. Manage and resolve infrastructure issues while ensuring optimal system performance and security. Administer Linux-based systems to guarantee high availability and reliability. Monitor infrastructure and application performance, proactively applying improvements as needed. Support and manage microservices-based deployments in production settings. Work collaboratively with development and operations teams to streamline build and deployment processes. Create and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash, or Groovy for DevOps tasks. Troubleshoot networking challenges, including routing, DNS, firewalls, and load balancing. Identify and resolve performance, environmental, and stability issues within production environments. Assist with build, release, and deployment processes to uphold stable software environments. Scale and sustain large, critical production environments. Adapt to evolving business needs and emerging technologies. Participate in on-call rotations supporting deployment and production operations. Oversee end-to-end CI/CD activities, including build artifact deployment and integration. Document deployment procedures, infrastructure configurations, and operational practices. Collaborate with vendors and technology partners to enhance infrastructure capabilities. Skills and Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of DevOps methodologies and automation workflows. Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins. Strong hands-on experience with Linux environments, including command-line usage, system administration, and shell scripting. Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools, notably Terraform. Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including routing, firewalls, DNS, and load balancing. Excellent skills in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analysis. Competence in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Groovy. Familiarity with ITIL processes (ITIL certification is a plus), along with strong communication and teamwork abilities. Additional Skills: Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Expertise in managing microservices architectures. Knowledge of configuration management tools including Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform are advantageous. Working knowledge of infrastructure components like RabbitMQ, Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis. Strong documentation capabilities for maintaining deployment guides, runbooks, and operational documentation. Experience in supporting production environments and handling incident responses, with an understanding of observability tools such as monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
