DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer We’re seeking a DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer to join Spenn Group’s Product & Tech team at our office in Oslo. As a DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer in our Backend & Infrastructure team, you will own and evolve the cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform reliability that Spenn’s services run on. Working in close tandem with our backend & frontend engineers, you’ll enable fast, safe, and automated delivery across the engineering organization, and help keep our platform secure, scalable, and highly available. Key Responsibilities Cloud infrastructure – Design, provision, and operate Spenn’s AWS infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency. Container orchestration – Build and manage Kubernetes clusters and workloads, ensuring reliable and scalable deployment of services. CI/CD automation – Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub and GitHub Actions to enable fast, safe, and automated build, test, and deployment. Reliability & observability – Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident-response practices to ensure high availability and performance across environments. Security & compliance – Apply security best practices across infrastructure and pipelines, supporting Spenn’s data-privacy and compliance requirements (in accordance with our ISO27001 certification). Developer enablement – Improve the developer experience through tooling, automation, and self-service infrastructure. AI-Driven Efficiency – Utilize and advocate for AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot) to streamline operations, automation, and documentation. Collaboration – Partner closely with backend engineering, security, and product teams to deliver reliable, well-operated services. Required Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Solid experience in DevOps, site reliability, or infrastructure engineering. Hands-on experience operating production workloads on AWS. Strong experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code. Experience deploying and operating Kubernetes in production. Proficiency with GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation. Scripting and automation skills (e.g. Python), with a strong automation mindset. Good understanding of networking, security, and monitoring/observability tooling. Experience in fintech or other regulated environments is an advantage. Proven ability to leverage AI tools to improve operational efficiency. Responsibilities
