Nuix is Hiring a DevOps Manager for our Pittsburgh, PA office.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or related field, or relevant experience.
  • Advanced level capabilities as pertains to all phases of testing within the SDLC
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms and SaaS
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, terraform and helm
  • Experience leading and managing a team.
  • Configuration Management Experience. (Ansible, Puppet, Chef or Vagrant preferred)
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms, particularly Jenkins
  • Experience with building installation packages, docker containers & registries
  • Familiarity with Java, Python, Groovy, Bash, or Powershell
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders, and in incident responses
  • Proven record of up-time, understanding HA, SLA management, Change Control workflows.
  • Demonstrate ability to solve complex problems.
  • Deep financial understanding of cloud compute
  • Demonstrated experience in running successful infrastructure projects to completion.
  • General IT knowledge with the ability to solve problems which require research for solution
  • The ability to test individually designed code is required
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, agile environment
  • Commitment to work collaboratively & cross functionally
  • Demonstrated experience implementing complex initiatives.
  • Demonstrated team management experience
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The DevOps team is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of CI/CD build pipelines, including build scripts, tests, security tooling and release of code. The team’s goal is to produce products that can be released across multiple platforms, in a unified tech stack. The DevOps team is also responsible for improving the developer productivity with consistent tooling, practices, and compliance across all product lines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take ownership of, and drive improvements to, shared platforms:
  • CI/CD tools, Configuration management, AWS networking infrastructure, Security, Logging and monitoring, Cost engineering, Security scanning
  • Maintain and upkeep operational excellence across Nuix environments.
  • Identify and own opportunities to simplify or automate systems and processes.
  • Participate in the construction of a “safety culture” within the company by adding security monitoring, incident response tools and reporting framework.
  • Mentoring and technical assistance to junior team members and wider team
  • Assist/guide and provide technical support to other teams in adopting DevOps based tools and processes.
  • Developing and continuously improving the DevOps practice across Nuix engineering teams
  • Ability to lead and drive initiatives across various teams
  • Manage and lead a team of local DevOps Engineers (three people) as part of the wider global team, including personal development, professional growth and identifying career pathways of team members.
  • Be an individual contributor 50% of the time.
  • Acting as 2IC to the Head of DevOps.
