LOCATION: ALPHARETTA GA

We are seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps and Script Developer (Ansible) with strong Linux and Python expertise to design, automate, and maintain our infrastructure and disaster recovery processes. The ideal candidate will streamline disaster recovery processes, enhance system reliability, and develop custom scripts to support our applications and operations, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or script development.
  • Proven expertise in Linux system administration (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
  • Strong experience in Ansible and Python scripting and development for automation and tooling.
  • Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in Linux administration, including shell scripting (e.g., Bash), system configuration, and troubleshooting.
o Advanced skills in Python for developing automation scripts, tools, and integrations.
o Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and version control (e.g., Git).
o Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
o Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
o Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services.
o Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios) and log management (e.g., ELK Stack, Splunk).

o Knowledge of network protocols, security practices, and system hardening.

  • Soft Skills:

o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex technical challenges.
o Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

o Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proactive mindset with a focus on automation and continuous improvement.

o Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or Kubernetes certifications (e.g., CKA, CKAD).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with microservices architectures and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with additional scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Ansible) or tools.
  • Background in supporting development for specific industries (e.g., tech, finance, healthcare).”
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage Ansible & Pyton scripts to automate replication and fail-over processes.
  • Administer and optimize Linux-based systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of servers and applications.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to integrate and deploy applications seamlessly across environments.
  • Configure and manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar for provisioning and automation.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and optimize resources.
  • Ensure security best practices, including access controls, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for scripts, processes, and infrastructure configurations.
  • Support disaster recovery planning and execution, including backups and failover strategies.
  • Stay current with emerging scripting tools, Linux advancements, Ansible and Python libraries to drive innovation and efficiency.
