DevOps Software Developer Contingent upon Customer Approval Purpose: * Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a DevOps Software Developer (.NET Ecosystem – Air-Gapped + Azure DevOps) on-site in Huntsville, AL. * Join the team responsible for the Missile Defense System (MDS) Ground Test (GT) scenario design for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). * MDA GTs are used to assess our nation’s defense systems through a variety of HWIL and simulation tests. * Excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge defense technologies while contributing to the security of our nation. Job Description: * Build and mature deployment pipelines across a secure, air-gapped environment and a connected cloud environment. This role is responsible for establishing reliable, repeatable processes to move .NET applications from internal development networks to external cloud-hosted systems. * Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for .NET applications * Build and standardize deployment processes within an air-gapped network * Establish secure, repeatable workflows for promoting applications from air-gapped environments to cloud environments * Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate deployment workflows into the development lifecycle * Improve reliability and consistency of releases across all environments (dev, test, staging, production) * Implement monitoring, logging, and validation steps to ensure deployment integrity * Troubleshoot pipeline failures and deployment issues across disconnected environments * Document and enforce best practices for deployment and environment management * Develop and maintain automated tests Target Candidate: * Systems thinker who can design end-to-end deployment workflows across constrained environments * Strong ownership of the deployment lifecycle, especially in complex or manual environments * Comfortable working hands-on with both infrastructure and application teams * Process-oriented with an emphasis on repeatability, auditability, and reliability * Pragmatic problem solver who can operate within strict security constraints Success in this Role: * Reduction in manual steps required to deploy applications  * Increased consistency and reliability of deployments across environments  * Faster promotion of applications from internal networks to cloud environments  * Improved developer experience with deployment workflows  * Clear, auditable deployment processes across all systems  Qualifications: * Must have a BS in Engineering, Math, Physics, or similar technical discipline and at least 4–7+ years of experience in DevOps, build/release engineering, or cloud engineering. * Must have strong experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, repos, artifacts). * Must have experience designing CI/CD pipelines for .NET applications. * Must have experience working with restricted or air-gapped environments * Must have working knowledge of C# / .NET application structure and build processes. * Must have experience with packaging and artifact management (e.g., NuGet, build artifacts, deployment bundles). * Must have strong troubleshooting skills across build, deployment, and runtime issues. Desired Qualifications: * Experience moving applications between disconnected networks (e.g., air-gapped → cloud), preferred. * Experience with Azure cloud services (App Services, VMs, or container-based hosting), preferred. * Experience implementing automated validation, smoke testing, or release gates, preferred. * Familiarity with release versioning strategies and artifact traceability, preferred. * Familiarity with containerization (Docker preferred, but not required), preferred. * Scrum / Agile experience, preferred. * Active SECRET security clearance, preferred. Security Requirements:         * Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Travel Requirements:  * Occasional or No Travel- less than 10%. * If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
