Responsibilities

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Software Engineer to join our hybrid team in Reston, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the software release lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and infrastructure automation. You will work with enterprise-level tools and cloud environments to ensure seamless integration, performance, and reliability of our systems. This position requires a strong foundation in DevOps practices, cloud provisioning, scripting, and tool administration, with a focus on continuous improvement and collaboration across teams.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with Terraform, GitLab, and AWS native pipelines for infrastructure automation.
  • Strong scripting and development skills in Python and Shell.
  • Experience with AWS provisioning using CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and SOAP for integration scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as SonarQube, LoadRunner, SauceLabs, and Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud/on-prem hybrid environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement scalable solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools like Selenium-Cucumber, UFT, JMeter, Gatling.
  • Knowledge of Agile best practices and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Experience migrating applications from on-premises to AWS is a plus.
  • AWS Certification preferred.
  • Additional certifications in DevOps, cloud technologies, or Atlassian tools are a plus.
    Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,300.00 - $125,500.00.
