We are seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer with AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional credentials to support a federal agency in managing secure cloud infrastructure for electronic health records (EHR). In this role, you will design and implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and automated compliance workflows that meet the stringent security and interoperability requirements of federal health data systems.
You will collaborate with federal OCIO, cybersecurity, and data governance teams to ensure HIPAA, FedRAMP High, and FISMA compliance, while enabling secure, efficient, and cost-effective cloud operations. This role is remote with occasional travel to McLean, VA. The ability to obtain and retain a Public Trust Level 4 clearance is required for consideration.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (preferred).
  • 5+ years of DevSecOps experience in AWS cloud environments.
  • Expertise in AWS security tools, IaC frameworks, and automation.
  • Experience supporting federal healthcare data systems with EHR, FHIR, OMOP, or HL7 standards.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience with HHS, CMS, FDA, or other public health agencies.
  • Familiarity with Databricks, AWS Glue, or cloud-based data analytics platforms.
  • Additional cloud or security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, AWS Security Specialty).
