JOB OVERVIEW

CohesionForce is actively seeking candidates for a DevSecOps Engineer to become part of our team in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will work independently on large projects, and at other times, will be working in a collaborative team environment with other DevSecOps engineers and other program development and deployment teams. You will provide security in DevSecOps, up-to-date knowledge of threat modeling, risk assessment techniques, code reviews, current best practices, and the latest cybersecurity threats. You will choose and deploy the appropriate automated application security testing tools and bring awareness to users of how to make the most of application security features.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• 3+ years of experience with DevSecOps principles and practices.
• Experience with Agile methodolgies, such as Scrum and/or Kanban.
• Active DoD security clearance.

DESIRED SKILLS (NOT REQUIRED)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Oracle database administration.
• Knowledge of storage libraries/policies.
• Experience managing backups.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Technical curiosity to learn new skills and are ready to help across the team.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Master’s degree; or no experience required with a related PhD or JD. Considered career, or journey, level.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

• Administer databases.
• Implement and maintain DevSecOps best practices throughout the entire development lifecycle.
• Assist with development of Cyber Plans and Procedures.
• Work with multiple agile teams across the program to upgrade infrastructure supporting the technical environment.
• Apply hardware and software knowledge, cyber security standards, and feedback from users to develop/modernize the environment.
• Utilize experience in Infrastructure as code to deliver rapidly and consistently.
