MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a DevSecOps Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of USCENTCOM. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines that enable rapid software delivery while enforcing cybersecurity compliance across classified environments. Duties and Responsibilities: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines leveraging tools such as GitLab and Azure DevOps. Integrate automated security scanning, IaC validation, and compliance gates into the pipeline. Develop and maintain reusable pipeline templates and modules. Build and configure automated deployment routines. Provide monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions for all pipeline and application delivery stages. Assist with ATO documentation as it relates to automation, software delivery, and operational security posture. Support Kubernetes or container orchestration as part of pipeline deployment models. Participate in Agile planning and support Agile development cadence. Contribute to researching technologies to evaluate potential technical and procedural best practices in support of DevSecOps. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Software Engineer Senior must have: Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience Certification: Must possess DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security +CE) prior to hire Experience: 5+ years of related experience Required Skills: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (GitLab CI/CD, etc.). Familiarity with static and dynamic code analysis tools (SonarQube, etc.). Understanding of Zero Trust, RMF, and STIGs in a DoD context. Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash). Strong understanding of containerized workloads and DevSecOps best practices. Desired Skills: Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) are a plus. Kubernetes or CKA Certification. Experience working with military/government environments. The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
