DEVSECOPS ENGINEER:

On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a DevSecOps Engineer for a 12-month role. This position is either a Remote or Hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Vancouver or Victoria office.

DEVSECOPS ENGINEER - JOB DESCRIPTION:

This critical role focuses on developing and implementing DevSecOps practices within the organization. The project involves establishing and streamlining CI/CD pipelines for modernized solutions in the cloud, with a strong emphasis on security integration.

DEVSECOPS ENGINEER - MANDATORY SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Up to 5+ years experience as a DevOps or DevSecOps engineer
• Experience with security scanning tools (e.g., SonarQube, Snyk)
• Demonstrated experience with Azure, Key Vaults, and PowerShell
• Experience with automation tools, version control tools, and monitoring tools

DEVSECOPS ENGINEER – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

• Experience with no-code & low-code solutions (e.g., Appian, Power Platform)
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Groovy, JavaScript
• Professional development courses and certifications in Azure, Agile, or cybersecurity
• Experience with job orchestration, containerization, and streaming tools
• Knowledge of Agile methods and practices

• Collaborate with development, operations, and cyber security teams to establish and improve DevSecOps practices and tools
• Install and troubleshoot DevSecOps tools and environments
• Develop, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts
• Create sustainable templates and documentation for long-term use
• Mentor and train internal team members through knowledge transfer sessions
• Implement resiliency measures for CI/CD pipelines
• Automate performance monitoring and optimize cloud solutions
