QTEC Aerospace is seeking a DEVSECOPS ENGINEER to join our team of professionals in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.

JOB SUMMARY

QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidates will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Missile Defense programs.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and at least 2 years of related experience
• DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ex: Security + CE)

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Experience working with cloud technologies and platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud
• Experience with Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services
• Eager to expand knowledge and continually improve
• Ability to write or review software code (Java, Python, etc.)
• General understanding of DevSecOps practices
• Must be able to support an in-person, closed-area work environment 100% of the time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
• Self-motivated and customer-oriented

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Recent experience with PaaS (Platform as a Service) infrastructure
• Familiar with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, and Nexus repositories
• Experience with configuration management tools, i.e., Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, others
• Some knowledge of programming and scripting experience in a Windows environment (PowerShell, etc.)

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:

• Provide automation configuration with tools like Ansible to automate build and configuration processes
• Develop Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) process and tools, deployment strategies
• Build and deploy containers and containerization technologies
• Enable and lead Agile management and collaboration, leveraging tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitLab
• Learn new technologies and tools to enable rapid and secure, scalable capability
• Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python
