Salary: Starting 1500 AED
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Dewatering and Shoring Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of dewatering and shoring systems on construction sites to ensure safety, efficiency, and project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, operate, and maintain dewatering systems, including pumps, trenches, and wells, to remove excess groundwater from construction sites.
  • Install and maintain temporary shoring systems, such as trench boxes, sheet piles, and support structures to ensure excavation stability and worker safety.
  • Monitor dewatering and shoring equipment regularly for functionality, making adjustments or repairs as necessary.
  • Perform routine inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Ensure proper water discharge and adherence to environmental guidelines for dewatering operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to water flow, pressure, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other field technicians to provide technical expertise and problem-solving solutions.
  • Maintain and repair equipment in the field, ensuring all tools and machinery are in optimal working condition.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed, including equipment maintenance logs and site reports.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety procedures on-site at all times.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in dewatering and/or shoring systems, preferably in a construction or civil engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of dewatering and shoring equipment, including pumps, well points, trench boxes, and sheet piles.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, safety regulations, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of local environmental laws and regulations regarding water management and excavation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve problems efficiently.
  • Ability to work in challenging conditions, including varying weather and heavy lifting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Certification or training in construction safety, confined space entry, or similar areas is preferred.
