DESCRIPTION:

We currently have an exceptional opportunity for a Dewatering Supervisor to join our Woodie Woodie Operations in the Pilbara Region of Western Australia. This position will be on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster, rotating on a Friday.
Reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent, your main responsibilities will be the following:
Maintain a safe system of work and adherence to Life Saving Rules and the Organisational Values.
Ensure adherence to environmental responsibilities
Maintain effective relationships and communication with stakeholders, including contractors, commercial partners and other mine site departments
Monthly and weekly and planning process to deliver budget/target
Participate in the long-term planning of upcoming dewatering projects
Engage in the budgeting process
Supervise installing Dewatering equipment such as pumps, manifolds and pipe work using cranes and earthmoving machines.
Maintain expected standards of housekeeping in work areas and lay down yard
Engage in project work to optimize mining efficiencies as required.
Identify labour requirements through the budgeting process; participate in the recruitment process to build capacity.
Establish expectations of your team through key performance indicators (KPI’s).
Ensure team members have adequate training and development opportunities to competently fulfil their roles.
Oversee and facilitate management of all surface and in-pit dewatering activities. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory bodies
Ensure the timely completion and ordering of all parts and services related to the running of the Dewatering Infrastructure and projects
To be successful in this position, you will be required to have relevant qualifications as well as previous experience within a dewatering project role.
The successful person will have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel along with demonstrated leadership ability, excellent communication, time management and teamwork skills.
