Description
As a member of the DFX team, you will have direct impact in the creating solutions for the complex problems that directly impact final quality, cost and delivery of Meta advanced devices. You will define and implement manufacturing process best practices with respect to the design of our products. As a key member of the Technical Operations team, you will partner closely with Hardware Engineering, Quality, Test Engineering and our Manufacturing partners to provide manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are manufacturable from concept to mass production. Responsibilities Partner with Product Design (PD) to identify and resolve manufacturing challenges by following best DFX practices and principles and establishing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) with Meta Cross functional teams Develop manufacturing assembly processes, fixtures, and equipment requirements at the factory, and drive line and fixture qualifications Develop new or improved manufacturing processes through application of theoretical and practical engineering to enhance product quality and production efficiency Drive all factory-related operational issues related to final assembly processes during pre-production builds through mass production and end of life Provide production support engineering with respect to technically complex assembly procedures, testing methods, and failure analysis Provide direction, guidance, and resources to other engineering groups and factory technicians Minimum Qualifications NX or PTC Creo CAD experience Knowledge of GD&T and experience creating tolerance analysis from assemblies and part level drawings 5+ years in engineering roles with experience in product design or manufacturing Familiarity with consumer electronics mass production manufacturing operations NPI (New Product Introduction) and manufacturing operations experience Ability to travel to the Asia Pacific region Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of optics principles as related to CCD cameras and optical alignment Experience in automation/machine design for high precision manufacturing JMP/MiniTab competency Clean Room experience
