Established in 2006, VOIS has evolved into a global, multi-functional organization, a Centre of Excellence for Intelligent Solutions focused on adding value and delivering business outcomes for Vodafone Job Description Role Purpose This is key role within the Accounting Competence Centre department, which operates within the End-to-End Accounting & Reporting framework of VF Group, serving as a key decision-making authority for strategic accounting judgements and as a nexus for compliance assurance on group level for Vodafone's local markets. Accounting Centre of Excellence & Governance Overall 8-10 years with preferrably Chartered Accountant qualification with prior Big 4/Big 6 experience. Assumes responsibility towards the governance of RTR-related Vodafone Group Standard Operating Procedures (“VGFOPS”), ensuring consistency, accuracy, transparency, excellence and compliance across all accounting functions Drive RTR transformation agenda under strategic RTR Roadmap objectives,strong domain knowledge of IFRS -15 ,IFRS -16 & IFRS -9. Offers accounting expertise for process transformation driven by critical accounting projects. Drive change management and change governance, steerco, comprehensive plan and strategy for large-scale transformations and assure accurate financial statements. Supports implementation of strategic projects with clear understanding of financial scenarios, accounting and compliance of governance frameworks, impact analysis and reporting processes, supporting strategic decision-making at both local and organizational levels Collaborates closely with the Group Financial Reporting and Accounting Principles & Advisory team to align accounting policy, judgement and application Supports local Chief Accountants, to ensure the timely and accurate financial reporting, enabling local markets certification of Income Statements, Balance Sheet Reviews and other Financial Statements artefacts (Disclosures, Management Reports, etc.) under both International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) With RTR Solutions, evolve a revamped Finance Operating Model (“FOM”), overseeing global accounting processes and operational procedures In close alignment with the RTR solutions team, contributes to RTR Roadmap and strategic vision, skilfully prioritizing strategic key accounting initiatives and demands across Vodafone Offers accounting expertise and provides strategic oversight for process transformation in VOIS VOIS Equal Opportunity Employer Commitment India: VOIS is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
