Description
We are looking for a high-agency Business Finance partner to own the financial performance of our Auto D2C Growth business (~₹1500 Cr premium). This role will work closely with Business, Marketing, Product, Underwriting, and Leadership, driving both growth and profitability through sharp insights, structured problem-solving, and strong execution. This is a full-stack business finance role spanning growth, cost, planning, and leadership reviews. Key Responsibilities 1. Growth & Revenue * Own deep dives on key growth levers: demand, conversion, ATS, add-ons * Identify gaps and opportunities to unlock growth * Partner with Marketing, Product, Presales, and UW on experiments and execution 2. Lifecycle & Retention * Track and improve renewal rates and retention cohorts * Drive lifecycle optimization across pricing, product, and engagement * Build visibility into customer-level profitability 3. Cost & Unit Economics * Drive efficiency across key cost heads: * Marketing (~₹200–250 Cr) * Pre-sales / assisted channels * UW tech, PG & PI costs * Improve unit economics and underwriting profitability * Support growth vs profitability trade-offs 4. Planning & Performance * Own AOP, forecasts, and monthly outlooks * Track YoY growth, run-rate, and variance vs plan * Link input metrics to P&L outcomes 5. Reviews & Leadership Communication * Drive weekly, monthly (MBR), and quarterly reviews * Lead performance discussions with Business Head and leadership * Convert data into clear, actionable insights 6. Initiatives & Governance * Track OKRs and key business initiatives * Ensure execution discipline and measurable impact * Act as a central anchor across cross-functional teams 7. Analytics & Decision Support * Build deep understanding of funnels, drivers, and metrics * Highlight risks, trends, and opportunities * Support decisions through scenario analysis and structured thinking 8.Automation & Efficiency * Drive automation of reporting and dashboards * Improve speed, accuracy, and scalability of processes * Partner with data/product teams to strengthen finance data infrastructure Experience * 6–8 years in Business Finance / FP&A / Growth Finance * Background in D2C / Fintech / Marketplace / Insurance / high-growth startups * Experience in fast-paced, high-ownership roles Skills * Strong business acumen and problem-solving * Understanding of growth funnels, unit economics, and P&L * Solid financial modelling and analytical capability * Ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes Mindset * High ownership and accountability * Sharp, structured, and execution-focused * Comfortable working with senior leadership * Balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution
