For company profile, please visit the website :- https://assystem-india.com/ Job Description Role Overview The Head – Airports will lead the planning, design, and delivery of airport infrastructure projects, ensuring technical excellence, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction. This role will drive the growth of the aviation business, manage multidisciplinary teams, and oversee the successful execution of projects including terminals, airside infrastructure, and airport systems. Key Responsibilities 1. Leadership & Strategy Define and execute the strategic vision for the Airports business unit. Build and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary team (airside, landside, terminals, systems). Drive innovation, digitalization (BIM), and best practices in airport design and delivery. 2. Project Delivery & Management Oversee the full lifecycle of airport projects: master planning, feasibility, design, and construction support. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Monitor project performance, risks, and resource allocation. 3. Technical Oversight Provide expert input across airport infrastructure including: Airside (runways, taxiways, aprons) Landside access and planning Terminal planning and passenger flow Airport systems coordination (baggage handling, security, MEP interfaces) Ensure compliance with international and local standards (ICAO, FAA, EASA, DGCA, etc.). Review and approve critical design deliverables. 4. Client & Stakeholder Management Act as the primary technical and commercial interface with clients, airport authorities, and stakeholders. Build strong relationships with government agencies, operators, and partners. Represent the organization in key meetings, presentations, and negotiations. 5. Business Development Lead and support bids, proposals, and tender submissions. Identify market opportunities and expand the aviation portfolio. Develop partnerships, alliances, and consortiums for major projects. 6. Multidisciplinary Coordination Ensure seamless integration across civil, structural, MEP, systems, and operations teams. Coordinate with project management, procurement, and construction teams. 7. Quality, Safety & Compliance Ensure adherence to QA/QC standards and safety regulations. Promote sustainability and environmental compliance in airport design and operations. Key Requirements Experience 20+ years of experience in airport infrastructure projects. Proven leadership experience in managing large-scale airport projects. Strong exposure to terminal design, airside infrastructure, and airport systems. Technical Skills Expertise in airport planning, airside design, and terminal operations. Familiarity with tools such as Civil 3D, AviPlan, BIM platforms, etc. Strong understanding of ICAO and other relevant aviation standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Airport Engineering, or related field. Professional certifications (Chartered Engineer, PMP, etc.) preferred.
