ABOUT JOB We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our team. As a Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in providing legal advice and support to our organization. Your responsibilities will include analyzing and drafting legal documents, providing guidance on various legal matters, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate should have strong legal knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: * Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal issues, including contracts, corporate governance, intellectual property, employment law, and regulatory compliance. * Review, draft, and negotiate various legal agreements, including but not limited to contracts, leases, licenses, and confidentiality agreements. * Conduct title due diligence, property documentation review, and risk assessment for acquisition, leasing, or disposal of real estate assets. * Manage real estate transactions including lease renewals, terminations, amendments, property registrations, stamp duty matters, and coordination with local authorities. * Provide legal advisory on employment-related matters including hiring, termination, disciplinary actions, workplace investigations, employee disputes, POSH compliance, compensation structuring, and HR policies. * Draft, review, and respond to legal notices, demand notices, termination notices, eviction notices, show-cause notices, and statutory notices. Handle issuance and strategy around legal correspondence. * Manage and respond to notices from regulatory authorities, government bodies, and statutory departments. * Conduct legal research and analysis to stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends impacting the organization. * Assess legal risks and provide recommendations to mitigate potential liabilities. * Collaborate with external legal counsel, as necessary, to handle complex legal matters. * Assist in developing and implementing internal policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance. * Participate in contract management and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping. * Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations that may affect the organization and provide proactive advice and training to internal teams. * Manage and resolve legal disputes, including potential litigation matters. * Conduct legal due diligence for potential partnerships, acquisitions, or other strategic initiatives. * Provide legal support for corporate transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, human resources, and operations, to ensure legal compliance across the organization. Desired Candidate’s Profile: * LLB/ LLM (desirable) from an accredited law school with 7+years of experience overall experience * Sound knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the industry. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to deliver high-quality work under deadlines with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work. * Ability to draft clear, professional and legally robust correspondence, contractual documentation, policies and other documentation. * Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
