POSITION SUMMARY

The Food and Beverage Attendant has a multitude of functions from attending to guest table setup alongside servers, delivering food and beverages from the kitchen to guest tables, attending to and replacing items on buffets, restocking supplies and keeping the restaurant orderly.

Responsibilities
  • Recognize and greet all guests with eye contact (Use the 10/5 Rule. Acknowledge, smile or nod at 10ft. Verbal greeting at 5 ft. away)
  • Check with Supervisor upon arriving for your shift to receive instructions for your primary job responsibilities for the particular shift.
  • Depending on your primary role for your shift, the following tasks will be assigned by your supervisor: Assist with expediting food from the kitchen line and deliver to the tables in restaurants, Assist as a buffet attendant during days / nights when buffets are offered in any of our restaurants, Assist servers as needed with guest requests – orders to ensure a quick pace of service and guest satisfaction, Ensure all tables are presentable with clean china, glassware, silverware and linen, Set and clear tables in restaurants in a timely manner, Ensure all items needed are kept in stock throughout shift, At end of shift, ready restaurant by cleaning, polishing, restocking, reorganizing in order to be ready for next shift.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of restaurant dynamics i.e.: table placement, open and closing procedures and general knowledge of menu item syllabus.
  • Ensures the well-being of our guests and hosts by being alert to and reporting potential hazards.
  • Models all Deerhurst Resort Standards while caring for the guests, colleagues, and owners
  • Comfortable making decisions and develops recommendations for effective problem solving.
