POSITION SUMMARY

The Golf Shop Attendant’s primary function is to assist with the daily operation of the golf course. Their focus will be on properly checking-in guests and members for play, as well as booking in future rounds of golf and assisting with the organization and sales of merchandise. They will act as a guest service representative to all members and guests.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma an asset
• Knowledge of golf merchandise and golf equipment an asset
• Previous experience at a golf course an asset
• Experience handling cash an asset
• Experience working with computers an asset

• Checking-In Guests and Members: Welcoming guests and members to the golf course, verifying their reservations, and ensuring they have all necessary equipment and information for their round of golf.
• Booking Future Rounds: Assisting guests and members with booking future tee times, accommodating their preferences whenever possible, and providing information about course availability and special events.
• Merchandise Organization and Sales: Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the golf shop, restocking merchandise as needed, and assisting customers with their purchases. This may include golf equipment, apparel, accessories, and other items.
• Guest Service: Serving as a friendly and knowledgeable point of contact for all guests and members, answering questions, providing recommendations, and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during their visit.
• Administrative Tasks: Performing administrative duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records of reservations, sales, and inventory.
• Course Knowledge: Developing a thorough understanding of the golf course layout, rules, and policies in order to provide accurate information and assistance to guests and members.
• Team Collaboration: Working closely with other staff members, including golf professionals, groundskeepers, and food and beverage staff, to ensure seamless operations and exceptional service throughout the facility.
