Job Description Role purpose The DH optimization scientist role focuses on enhancing the efficiency, quality and scalability of Corn DH line production. Key responsibilities include implementing process improvements, optimizing protocols, scaling new technologies and collaborating with breeding teams. Accountabilities Optimize DH protocols and processes to improve efficiency and quality. Implement innovative technologies and automation for scalable DH operations. Ensuring timely delivery of high-quality DH lines aligned with breeding needs. Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement across DH operations. Maintain compliance with HSE, quality, and operational excellence standards. Knowledge, experience & capabilities Critical knowledge MSc/PhD in Plant Breeding, Biotechnology, Genetics, or related field. Expertise in doubled haploid technologies and breeding processes. Experience in process optimization and technology implementation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Qualifications 5+ years demonstrable applied experience in implementation of Operations or lab functions A proven track record on working in a science-based environment Critical technical, professional, and personal capabilities Ability to work in teams and across geographies Problem-solving skills Some experience in data visualization with Tableau, Power BI, or similar Strong written and oral English communication skills Analytical Mind-set
