JOB DETAILS Job Code   Position Title Director – Master Data Management Department Human Capital Sub - Function MDM Grade  M4 Location Dubai Reporting To VP – GS Human Capital Services  Number of direct reportees 3   JOB PURPOSE The Director – Master Data Management leads and oversees data governance, analytics, and operations to ensure master and metadata are trusted, compliant, standardized, accurate, and actionable. The role is accountable for establishing, governing, and operationalizing the enterprise Master Data, Reference Data, and Metadata Management capability across Group Services. The role ensures secure, trusted, consistent, and high-quality data that enables operational excellence, automation, analytics, AI-driven decision-making, regulatory compliance, and effective knowledge management. This role owns the enterprise MDM operating model from a GS perspective, balancing standardization with business agility, and leads governance, quality, architecture, analytics, and operations across all master data domains within Group Services. KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership & Strategy * Define and execute the MDM and Metadata strategy aligned to Group Services objectives * Establish MDM as a foundational capability supporting ERP, automation, analytics, and AI * Own MDM services portfolio, including domains, service scope, SLAs, and performance metrics * Build and lead a high-performing MDM organization Data Governance * Approve and enforce enterprise data governance frameworks * Establish and oversee data domain ownership, stewardship, policies, SOPs, business rules, and quality standards * (Co-)Chair data governance councils and working groups     Data Quality & Audit * Define and enforce data quality standards, rules, and KPIs across master data domains. * Implement controls-by-design, monitoring, and exception management for master data processes. * Ensure auditability, traceability, and compliance with regulatory and internal control requirements. * Lead root-cause analysis and remediation of systemic data quality issues. Master Data Management * Oversee reference data, master data, and metadata definitions * Approve enterprise data models, taxonomies, naming conventions, and integration standards * Establish and maintain metadata management capabilities, including business glossaries and lineage. * Ensure alignment between data standards, process design, and system configuration. Data Migration, Archiving & Lifecycle Management * Govern data migration, archiving, retention, and retirement strategies * Define policies for data archiving, retention, and disposal in line with regulatory and business requirements. * Ensure system integration and alignment with architecture standards Service Delivery  * Define SLAs, KPIs, and performance targets for MDM services * Plan and manage demand, capacity, and prioritisation for MDM activities. * Monitor service performance, resolve incidents, and manage escalations. * Drive continuous improvement in speed, quality, and reliability of master data services.
