BACHELOR’S OR MASTER’S DEGREE IN DEAF EDUCATION, ACTIVE DHH TEACHING CERTIFICATION, AND 1+ YEARS TEACHER OF THE DEAF / HARD OF HEARING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. APPLICANTS WHO DO NOT MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

A full-time opportunity is available for a skilled Teacher specializing in Deaf / Hard of Hearing (DHH) education to support K-12 students in a vibrant San Francisco school setting. This contract position is for the 2025-2026 school year, providing direct, on-site services to a diverse caseload of students from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of DHH students.
  • Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Utilizing appropriate communication methods and assistive technologies to facilitate student learning and engagement.
  • Monitoring student progress and adapting strategies to optimize educational outcomes.
  • Maintaining compliance with all relevant educational policies and regulations.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Certification or licensure in Deaf / Hard of Hearing education.
  • Proven experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Strong understanding of language development, audiology, and assistive technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
